►About the Game -
Horror is different for everyone. One might think it’s a one-time thing, while the other might think that it is filled with monsters. In Pamali, horror is shaped by the taboos and culture that live among Indonesian society itself.

Folklore One: The White Lady
A young man named Jaka has just gone back to his hometown to sell his old family house. While he is unpacking, cleaning, and renovating the house, he disregards many of his family’s old belongings and creates rude remarks. Not long after, he experiences mysterious and unexplained events. He eventually learns that the family has a secret and that he is not the only one in the empty house.

A Haunted House
Explore an abandoned Indonesian house with a spine-chilling atmosphere. Seek deeper into the house to find out more about an unsettling truth about the family. Be careful not to disrespect the mystical being that resides there.

Object Interaction
Interact with various objects within the house. You could also speak out your thoughts. Found an interesting painting? You can either praise it or mock it instead. Be wary of your choices, what you do, see or say will lead you to a unique take on the world in each repeatable playthrough.

Multiple Endings
Having second thoughts? You can run away the instant you arrived. Or do you wish to quickly sell the house without disturbing the entity that lingers in it? Or rather arrogantly explore and seek the entity? In Pamali, you'll be able to take decisions that will impact the experience and the ending. If you were in that situation, what would you do?

Seek the truth about Jaka and his family. Learn deeper about the White Lady. After each unique playthrough, you'll unlock deeper lores about the troubling truth and the entity itself.

Four Different Folklores
The White Lady is the first among the four Indonesian Folklores that you can investigate on. Folklore two, three and four will be released as DLCs. Experience different stories each with its own authentic Indonesian setting and mystical being.

  • Around 45:35 when everything was thought to be cleaned and you suggested just going to sleep , the “clean” action appears on an object to the right after you take a look at the dishes. Maybe there’s no bug ?

  • I know i'ts asking a lot, but I'd love to see you 100% this game.

I grew up in Hawaii. Hawaii has an interesting mix of cultures there, as many people there have Asian roots. A lot of the horror stories I grew up with have a distinctly Asian feel to them, but so many horror games are from american or european cultures. The number of horrific abominations and zombies I can find on steam are countless…. but things like this are few and far between.

I don't live in Hawaii anymore.. but something like this feels like home to me. It takes me back to being a small kid, hearing scary stories whispered over the campfire entirely unlike those found in the books in the library. <3

  • Haven't watch all the gameplay so i'm not sure if you already know. But the comment on the jumping body pillow, because in Indonesia we wrap corpses on white sheet just like a body pillow, only leaving the face shown.

    That is the Pocong ghost.

  • Thanks dude! I appreciated a lot the demo version about it. CJU was cleaning hard yes. hehehe CJU was thinking painting the house at third day there. Cool. hehehe She did get off that portrait, dude. Man this game is very well done. They thought at all, I mean; – that you've been cleaning all house and you shall been touch and move something awoke her ghost sister. Some her stuff particular.Maybe over opposite. Shouldn't you burned (destroyed) her hair lying on bathroom floor, in those opportunity to send her soul away at peace? Hummm interesting game, interesting…01:02:00 – Ahum! Did you see the best(no creepy game match) ending was that: Non touch and move anything around because her soul was there too. She wants rest in peace alone in her "home"(abandoned family house). Very cool game.

  • Despite the good translations, the dev is still making a bit mistake here & there. For example : Departemen Keuangan is Treasury department not Finance Department

  • Kuntilanak is like an Indonesian version of an Ireland Banshee. But the Indonesian folklore looks more terrifying. In the Philippines, its aswang and tiyanak, the tiyanak means a child who was unborn and death from miscarriage or even a child that was born dead or even born and raised till 2 years old and was not blessed or prayed in their grave, they become a demon baby that kills and eat humans or even animals.

  • OMG. Kuntilanak. My 'fave' folklore, all the children were told this story. I remember my mom telling me the story just like yesterday and until today I still get a shiver thinking about it LOL. ETA: I'm loving the lizard sound (another childhood memory) those damn lizards, would pull that crap early morning around 3-4 AM LOL.
