  • I'm not scared by things like 5 nights at freddy's, and games like outlast are just horrifying (not exactly dreadful uneasiness). This game had me from the start being like "fuck this, why did you come here bitch? Curiosity about to murder that cat"

  • I've always love Christophers enthusiasm and control. You won't see him rage or mad or freak out. When he is creeped out he'll laugh and sometimes make a joke, and even when jump scared he'll laugh it off. Something about it makes my day brighter and these videos better. Keep being you man! <3

  • Given the way that you can only see sound, this game seems like it has a lot of potential to mess with geography and such.

  • This is a very interesting game with a topic not alot of games touch. Its counter-intuative to think a good game can be one that you technically cannot see

  • Alright, I know nothing of this and there might be a perfectly good reason for this complaint, but, If she's blind, How does she know these shapes so well?, Or the patterns on the door for example?, It's a cool concept but it might be pushing it so that we can basically have echo location in a radar like view, rather than something like a bizarre shape for a coffee mug for instance because it's how she imagines it is, rather than how we know it to be.

  • is this actually how blind people who can echolocate "see" the world ? (no pun intended) i mean if this is actually how it works for them then that might be pretty useful, mostly because of light and darkness dont matter to you anymore

(you could save a lot of money for electricity :D)

  • "What kind of doctor prescribes to his own wife?" — Speaking as the child of an MD, pretty much the only benefit of being closely related to a doctor is the free prescriptions. Fluoxetine/Prozac is a really basic drug and most doctors would not have a professional ethics issue prescribing it, even if they aren't psychiatrists. The real problem would be if he IS a psychiatrist and also filling a therapist role for his wife, which is a big no-no for mental health professionals, or if he's misleading patients about the nature of their medication, which would make him a gigantic douche of a doctor in general.

  • Playing as a character that can see in a horror game is bad enought, but a BLIND character! That makes it a hundred times worse because you will need to make noise to see and noise attracts unwanted company.

  • Hmm. It looks like it's just too illustrated for a blind person. It would be better if it's like, dark althrough out and the sounds are really messing her and the player's mind. It's like playing a horror game that needs night vision to see or glowsticks. In this case, a cane. But hey, to each his own.

  • Now HERE'S a horror game that I think is creepier than FNAF. You're literally BLIND, with only ECHOLOCATION to see. It's scary to think about.

  • It's great to see you a bit rattled. Usually you play it pretty cool in horror games.

  • This definitely is that Felicia woman talking, Cassie (our protagonist's) voice is slightly different in pitch. It seems that we possess some kind of a supernatural, mambo-jumboey ability to read long gone people's past feelings and thoughts from keepsakes scattered around the house. This kind of an extrasensory perception is often related to as psychometry. A very telling sign that the guys of BioShock done this game.

    "Ohohoho… I don't WANT to do this…! ”

    Me neither.

    Quit the game.

It's awesome, but music boxes are the GTFO sign.

  • How I imagine the conversation during the pitch meeting.
"I want to create an atmospheric horror game, build tension organically and have an innovative mechanic that sets us apart from other games." -Designer
"Where should this take place?" -Programmer
"A huge mansion, but I also want the atmosphere to be claustrophobic." -Designer
"Isn't that a bit of a tired trope?" -Programmer
"Not if the protagonist is blind." -Designer
    "You are Satan." Programmer
    Both laugh maniacally.

  • you guys won't believe this, i swear it's true. I picked up Perception, massive 90 percent off on steam this past weekend, i'm playing my first session at 4am, in the dark, with lights off and headphones. A friggin bat flies into my room !! – now that is really setting the vibe !! – i ducked, and opened my window as wide as it would go, and the Bat flew back out the window after a couple of minutes of circling around my living room. Damn, wish i'd got it on camera. I found it amazing, this game about a blind woman, and echo-location, and then Mr Bat decides to pay me a visit 🙂
